Eaton xEffect Series Fuse Holder, 400A Current, 800V Voltage - 183060 XNH2-FCL-A400-BT

This fuse holder is a three-pole device designed to house NH2 fuse-links for electrical distribution and protection in industrial switchgear. Intended for panel or DIN-rail mounting, it provides front-side actuation with visible sliding inspection windows for voltage testing and optical indication of a triggered fuse. The unit is suitable for installations requiring box-terminal connections and is manufactured from polyamide with halogen-free materials.

Features & Benefits

• 400A rated operational current enabling high-load applications
• 800V insulation rating for higher-voltage system compatibility
• 120 kA conditioned short-circuit capacity for fault containment
• Sliding inspection windows allowing safe voltage verification
• Box Terminal accepts 95mm² to 300mm² cable for heavy conductors
• IP2XC/IP20/IP10 protection offering progressive contact safety

Applications

• Suitable for factory distribution boards requiring NH2 fuses
• Ideal for switchgear in automation and control panels
• Used with large cross-section copper busbars in power rooms
• Can be used for floor-mounted or plate-mounted electrical assemblies

What Terminal arrangements does it support for heavy conductors?

The main circuit uses a frame-clamp style with box terminals accommodating single-stranded cable from 95mm² to 300mm² and copper busbar sizes up to 40mm x 10 mm.

How does it indicate a blown fuse without disassembly?

It provides optical signalling combined with light fuse monitoring and sliding windows that enable Visual fault detection while installed.

What mechanical mounting options are available?

It is designed for plate or DIN-rail mounting and may be positioned vertically or horisontally.

What temperature and operational endurance should installers expect?

The device is suitable for ambient operation from −25 °C to +55 °C, can withstand up to +70 °C maximum operating temperature in specific conditions, and offers a mechanical life of 800 operations.
