This Fibre optic test equipment cleaning kit provides a complete set of consumables and tools for inspecting and cleaning optical connector end-faces to maintain signal integrity and reduce insertion loss. It combines a reusable cleaning cube containing preloaded wipes, a specialised solvent pen formulated for Fibre end-face soils, and port swabs to support maintenance of patch cords and equipment ports without requiring disassembly.

The solvent has lower surface tension, is oxygenated to neutralise charged particles and evaporates Faster than IPA to reduce residue formation.

Apply a small solvent spot to the wipe, start at the wet zone and swipe into a dry zone, then use a damp swab followed by a dry swab inside ports to remove remaining solvent.

The kit includes swabs sized for 1.25mm and 2.5mm ferrules, enabling cleaning of LC, MU, SC, ST and similar port types.

When used with compatible video microscopes, images can be saved to document end-face condition for records and troubleshooting.

Inspection using video probe displays avoids direct viewing of the Fibre end, preventing harmful laser exposure while cleaning and verifying end-face condition.
