The RS PRO Ferrite sleeve has 6.35mm of max cable diameter. The Ferrite sleeves are used to supress high frequency noise in a cable. The cable is passed through the bore of the sleeve, which absorbs energy that is emitted from the cable.
Data transmission through the cable will not be adversely affected by the sleeve.
