Eaton Compact Emergency Stop Push Button - C22 Series

This range of C22 emergency stop push buttons from Eaton offers simplified and efficient installation due to the “monoblock” technology. This all in one unit also eliminates the need for self-monitoring contact blocks. The C22 compact series of emergency stop buttons are designed with safety in mind and offer durability and reliability throughout a wide range of applications.

Designed for electrical automation and control environments, emergency stop button switches are commonly found in button stations where users may be sitting at a control desk, within suspended operator panels or in a control panel. What is the difference between a push button for emergency stop and a general-purpose push button?

A general-purpose push button switch is used for controls, e.g., starting machine operation or simply switching modes. However, a push button switch for emergency stop is mainly used as a safety measure to stop hazardous events.
