Schneider Electric ZB5AS84W2B

This emergency stop / shutdown button head is easily combined with contact blocks and installed into standard 22mm diameter cut-outs. It comes with antimicrobial characteristics. It is clearly distinguishable visually at a distance thanks to a clear color and a prominent 32mm red square push button. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP66 / IP67, IP69 / IP69K, making it ideal for operation in harsh environments.

This robust Schneider Electric 22mm emergency stop push-button features a square button, round head and is LED illuminated. The bezel material is comprised of durable plastic. After activation in an emergency the button can be released by turning it. When the button is pressed the LED illumination changes to red as a clear visual indicator. The e-stop is ideal for use in harsh or hazardous industrial environments due to its high water and dust/particle resistance, with IP ratings of IP66, IP67, IP69, IP69K. Contacts are designed to prevent vibration, helping to ensure secure mounting and wiring.

The constant LED illumination of the ZB5AS84W2B and brightly coloured red button ensure that it is highly visible and accessible in an emergency, even in poorly lit conditions. It has a sleek, modern and simplified design which will improve the look and feel of your control panels and machines and allow for utmost ease-of-use.

What does an emergency stop push-button do?

An emergency stop push button or E-Stop is a fail-safe control switch that provides both safety for the machinery and for the person using the machinery. The purpose of the emergency pushbutton is to stop the machinery quickly when there is a risk of injury or the workflow requires stopping.

What are the different types of emergency stop?

The three most common emergency stops are:
• Push-pull: The button is pushed in to stop and released by pulling the button back
• Twist release: The button is pushed in to stop and released by twisting the button
• Key release: The button is pushed in to stop and only released with a key
