RS PRO Emergency Light Test Switch
This automatic emergency lighting test switch from our high-quality own brand RS PRO is designed to test the function of emergency lighting.
It is made from high-quality flame retardant ABS material able to withstand temperature range from -10°C to 35°C. A key switch is used to interrupt the supply to the lighting for a pre-programmed period of time. At the end of this period the supply to the lighting is automatically re-installed. This will then prevent no risk of exhausting the battery in the emergency fitting. Another advantage of this emergency lighting test switch is allowance of up to 1.4kW of fluorescent lighting which can be connected to a unit on a single circuit.

Emergency Light Fittings
There are two basic types of emergency lighting luminaires - maintained and non-maintained.
Maintained, these luminaires have the advantage of being able to be switched between the maintained function (lamp illuminated at all times) and non-maintained (lamp off until power supply fails), making them ideal for applications such as corridors, workshops and permanently illuminated emergency exit signs. The maintained luminaires also have the facility of being switched in banks of up to ten units.
Non-maintained, these luminaires are only illuminated on a failure of the mains supply. Ideal for emergency exits, switchrooms and storage areas.
