Festo Miniature Electric Linear Actuator, 24V DC Input Voltage, 300mm Stroke - EPCO-40-300-12.7P-ST-E
This miniature electric linear actuator from Festo is a modern alternative to traditional pneumatic actuators. It can precisely control and position loads up to 40kg on the horizontal axis and up to 20kg on the vertical. The compact design saves you space when building a system and, for added versatility, you can mount the actuator horizontally or vertically. To ensure dependable performance and reduce wear, a recirculating ball spindle reduces friction between the unit's nut and screw.
• Fitted with two connectors – one to operate motor control, the other for encoder signals
• Can be connected with the CMMO-ST (125-9895) controller for quick and easy setup via a web server
• IP40 (ingress protection) rating indicates protection against objects over 1mm in diameter

How does an electric linear actuator work?
This actuator uses a piston rod and integrated stepper motor to produce the mechanical actuation. A rotating ball screw converts the rotary motion of the motor into linear movement. Electric linear actuators offer very precise positioning and control.
