The Microchip 24LC16B series are 16 Kbit EEPROM, this device is organized as eight blocks of 256 x 8-bit memory with a two-wire serial interface. Its low-voltage design permits operation down to 1.7 V with standby and active currents of only 1 μA and 1 mA, respectively. Along with more than 1 million read/write cycles it provides data retention of over 200 years. Also, ESD protection of more than 4000 V. The device provides 100 kHz and 400 kHz clock compatibility and self-timed erase/write cycle.
