The TE Connectivity Standard Timer Crimp connectors provide an easy, reliable connection with space saving low profile design for a wide range of signal systems. As compared to RAST insulation displacement contact versions, this crimp version of the RAST 2.5 connector is better suited for applications with double insulation wire or with PVC tube encased wire because wire termination is easier when contacts are separate from the housing. The connector has additional features to support assembly reliability, including lance less contacts that are less prone to damage or deformation and an innovative hook and latch design that helps secure and align the contact in the housing.
