The KKSB Steel case is compatible with BeagleBone Black and BeagleBone AI. The KKSB steel case for BeagleBone Black and AI has additional space on the top which accommodates most of the BeagleBone Capes (one at a time). If you look closely, you will notice the space and thin connection between the bottom and the top portion. This is because you can easily bend the top-walls for convenient access to the CAPE you are using. It also permanently remove these side panels on top if you want. But there is no need to remove them permanently because they have cutouts to let you connect cables to the interfaces on the CAPE. Along the bottom, the KKSB BeagleBone case has 4 rubber feet for optimal stability. There are pre-cut holes for surface mounting and you can also attach this case to DIN Rail Clip (NOT included in the package).
