RECOM DC-DC Converter, Isolated, 12V DC Output - RI3 Series - RI3-2412S

Use this DC-DC converter from RECOM to provide a stable 12V DC supply to your PCB-mounted components. It takes an input voltage of 24V DC and steps it down to 12V DC with a ±10% accuracy. The unit also provides 10kV DC isolation, protecting you and your equipment from power surges on the supply side. Like all products in RECOM's RI3 series, it's designed for use where board space is at a premium, since it packs 3W of power into a Compact SIP4 package.

Features & Benefits

• Through-hole mounting makes a robust connection with the PCB

• Operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C makes it suitable for use in harsh environments

• Industry-standard pinout maximises compatibility

Applications

• Telecommunications

• Medical settings

• IGBT drivers

What's a SIP package?

A SIP package is a semiconductor device that incorporates multiple chips into a single unit to make up a complete electronic system. The space savings this offers lets you build much smaller electronic devices than is possible with traditional chips.

What does the semiconductor in the SIP package do?

A semiconductor is a solid substance that's more conductive than an insulator but less conductive than most metals. In this DC-DC converter, the semiconductor device switches the current on and off and controls the voltage.
