RS PRO 9 Way Right Angle Through Hole D-Sub Connector Socket, 2.54mm Pitch

This RS PRO 9-way D-Sub connector is specially designed to mount onto a printed circuit board (PCB). Thanks to its narrow profile and built-in solder points, it's an easy-to-use option.

The right-angle microminiature connector is light, as it’s housing is made from aluminium with yellow chromate over cadmium plating. It has gold-plated copper-alloy contacts and these are made from a precision miniature spring cable with a welded tip. Secure mating takes place through two jackposts. Set in cavities, the pin contacts are protected from moisture. A silicone elastomer interfacial seal keeps the pins isolated from each other and from the metal shell. Insulation comes courtesy of UL94V-0 glass-filled polyester.

Due to its short signal paths, this 2.54 mm connector is often found in military environments. It’s used for miniaturised airborne electronics as well as data-processing equipment.
