RS PRO Crimp Die Set, Terminal
Use this crimp die set with the RS PRO Hydraulic Hand Crimping Tool (445-885) for wires with a maximum cross-sectional size of 16 mm². You can use the dies to crimp heavy-duty terminals onto aluminium and copper cables without the need for electricity, as hydraulic action provides the required force for crimping. For convenient storage and organisation, these dies can be stored safely in their own compartment in the carry case that comes with the RS PRO crimping tool.
The dies meet the US (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014) and European (BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) requirements for electrostatic control, so they won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge. You'll commonly find this die set used to crimp terminals onto flexible and stranded cables in applications such as telecom systems, utility services and panel building.
