Samtec Crimp Terminal, Gold Contact Plating, 30 to 20AWG Wire Size Range - CC79L Series - CC79L-2024-01-L

Keep electrical currents flowing freely with this crimp terminal from Samtec. It securely fastens wires to your PCB for an air-tight seal. This protects your cables from dust and environmental contaminants, so you spend minimal time on maintenance. The terminal's gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts ensure high conductivity for a strong signal you can count on. You can use this piece of kit with a PCB connector from the IPM1 series for ease of assembly.

Features & Benefits

• Accepts wires ranging in size between 30 and 20AWG for versatility
• Loose contacts give you customised control for a flexible PCB connection
• Halogen-free construction means it doesn't give off toxic fumes in the event of a fire

Applications

• Industrial automation
• Consumer electronics
• Networking systems
• Data centres

How does crimp termination work?

To fit a stranded wire into this crimp terminal, first use a wire stripper to remove insulation from the wire's tip. Then insert the exposed wire end into the terminal and use crimping pliers to compress it into a tight seal.
