3M™ Embossed Copper Foil Shielding Tape 1245

The 1245 type embossed copper shielding tape has a 1.4 -mil embossed copper foil backing with an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive and liner. The embossing helps make an excellent contact through the adhesive. As the copper is unplaited they are ideally suited to non-corrosive conditions.

3M Copper Tapes

The 3M 1245 copper tape consists of 1-ounce dead soft copper foil backing and unique electrically conductive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. This tape is 0.10mm thick, 6mm wide and 16m long. The copper foil backing is solderable and resists oxidation and discolouration. The edges of the embossed pattern are pressed into the foil cut through the adhesive layer to establish reliable metal-to-metal contact between the backing and the application substrate. The embossing helps make excellent contact through the acrylic adhesive. As the copper is unplaited, it is ideally suited to non-corrosive conditions.

EMI/RFI shielding tapes:
When using this tape, galvanic compatibility should be taken into account.
