Siemens 3-Pole Contactor, 32A, 24V DC Coil Voltage - 3RT2 Series - 3RT2027-2BB40

This compact contactor is part of Siemens' innovative SIRIUS modular system. It's designed to save space in your electrical cabinet and fits together with other components in the range to offer endless possible combinations. The 24V DC coil means you can switch high-power applications up to 15kW using the UK mains supply without the need for a transformer. The 3-pole, normally open (NO) configuration allows you to switch a three-phase load by energising the input.

• Contact current rating of 32 A and contact voltage rating of 400V AC for switching high-powered loads
• Coil voltage of 24V DC offers a combination of safe operation, efficiency and resistance to control circuit drops caused by the high inrush current required by starter motors
• Operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C for use in harsh environments

Where are 3-phase loads found?

3-phase electrical systems are commonly found in electric motors, where their rotating magnetic field simplifies the motor design. They're also found in the electric arc furnaces used to produce steel, as well as in large air-conditioning units, where their efficiency and durability is especially valued.
