Schneider Electric LP5K Series Reversing Contactor, 24V DC Coil Voltage, 6A Contact Current - LP5K0601BW3

This reversing contactor provides motor-direction switching and control for industrial installations, using a low-consumption 24V DC control Coil and suited to AC motor applications. It is designed for mounting on plate or EN rail and delivers controlled switching for three-phase loads up to 6 A, enabling Compact integration into automation and electrical control panels.

Features & Benefits

• 6A rated operational current delivers consistent motor switching performance
• 690V rated contact voltage permits use across wide AC networks
• 3NO main poles Plus 1NC auxiliary supports forward/reverse logic
• Built-in diode suppressor reduces Coil Peak currents and interference
• 1.8 W inrush and hold power lowers control-circuit energy draw
• Screw-clamp terminals accept 0.34 to 4mm² conductors for secure wiring

Applications

• Suitable for reversing small motors up to 1.5 kW at 220 to 230V
• Ideal for Compact motor control centres in automation panels
• Used for forward/reverse control in conveyor and handling systems
• Can be used for machinery requiring AC-3 or AC-4 utilisation categories

What ambient conditions can it operate under?

It is specified for operation between -25 to 50 °C and can be stored at temperatures down to -50 °C.

How does it perform under high switching demand?

Electrical durability is rated at 1.3 M cycles for 6A AC-3 applications, with mechanical endurance of 5 M cycles.

What protection and electrical withstand characteristics are provided?

It has an 8 kV impulse withstand rating, overvoltage category III classification and Ui up to 690V per IEC standards.

What are the short-time and breaking capacities?

Short-time withstand ranges from 40A to 90A depending on duration

breaking capacity reaches 110A at 415 to 440V per IEC 60947.

What wiring and torque requirements apply to terminations?

Terminals accept solid and flexible conductors within specified ranges and require 0.8 to 1.3 N·m tightening torque using common screwdriver heads.
