Schneider Electric LC2D Series Reversing Contactor, 24V Coil Voltage, 9A Contact Current - LC2D09BL

This reversing contactor is a Compact electromechanical device designed to switch and reverse three-phase motors and resistive loads in industrial control systems. It operates from a 24V DC control supply and is supplied preassembled with a reversing power busbar to simplify installation in panel- and rail-mounted configurations. The unit supports alternating and direct power circuits up to industrial voltage levels and is intended for harsh ambient conditions typical of automation and electrical installations.

Features & Benefits

• 3-pole switching delivers three-phase reversal for motor direction control
• 9A operational current supports moderate motor and load demands
• 4 kW motor rating at 380 to 400V AC for common industrial motors
• 690V insulation withstand enables high-voltage deployment
• Screw clamp terminals allow secure connections for 1 to 4mm² conductors
• Built-in diode suppressor reduces Coil Peak disturbances on DC control

Applications

• Suitable for reversing small to medium three-phase motors in conveyors
• Ideal for starter panels requiring Compact 90mm width contactors
• Used for switching resistive heating elements in process equipment
• Can be used for motor control in marine and offshore switchboards
• Suitable for automation racks mounted on plate or DIN rail

What control voltage range is required for reliable operation?

The control Coil is specified for 24V DC with operational limits of 0.8 to 1.25 Uc at -40 to 60 °C and adjusted limits up to 70 °C for safe de-energisation thresholds.

How does it cope with fault current and short-time stresses?

The power circuit withstands short-time currents up to 210A for 1 s and 30A for 10 min, with rated breaking capacity 250A at 440V conforming to applicable IEC requirements.

Which Terminal arrangements and conductor sizes are supported?

Power and control circuits use screw clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4mm² flexible or solid conductors, with specific configurations for one- or two-cable connections per terminal.

What environmental extremes can it tolerate in service?

It is specified for ambient operation from -40 °C to +60 °C with derating above 60 °C, and storage down to -60 °C

ingress protection to IP20 on the front face applies.
