Is this contactor's coil susceptible to surges?
No, the design of this contactor incorporates a bidirectional peak-limiting diode suppressor that protects the coil by limiting the transient voltage up to 2Uc (maximum continuous operating voltage). The coil's opening time remains as standard with this surge suppressor.
