What's the difference between AC1 and AC3 contactors?

AC1 contactors for general-purpose resistive loads with a power factor of at least 0.95 such as heating devices. AC3 contactors like this one are designed for high-inductive, squirrel cage motor switching where breaking occurs while the motor is running. These are devices such as mixers and bucker elevators.
