What's a PLC?
A PLC is a programmable logic controller, which is a small computer used to automate industrial processes. They're often used in place of complicated relay systems and have the advantage that they can be reprogrammed without the need for rewiring. Their rugged design makes them suitable for harsh industrial environments.
