The Souriau clipper backshell is a circular plastic connector with a shell size of 3 and 1/2 turn bayonet coupling which allows a quick connection to the system. It has a monobloc shell, insulator in a thermoplastic material and copper alloy contacts. It has a retention plate system that allows insertion/extraction of the contacts without the need for tooling.

They can be coupled and uncoupled without the risk of damaging contacts, even if blind mating is necessary. High-density formats are available using 1mm contacts.
