RS PRO Chassis Mount, Clamp Construction 230 V ac, 6 VA to 50 VA Mains Transformer

It has been over 100 years since the introduction of the first commercial Transformer when the mass production began. Since then, many additional modifications were developed to support various applications, such as electromagnetic, relays, pumps or heating elements.

.

The general concept of Chassis Mounting Transformers is around the usage of magnetic induction between coils to convert current and or voltage levels without changing the frequency.

Today, we are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Mains Transformer, packed in a chassis mount configuration. Our chassis type Mount Transformer provides a primary voltage rating of 230 V ac and power rating of 6 VA for exceptional isolating qualities. The two separate secondary windings can be connected either in series or parallel to give a wide range of output voltage and current options.

Features and Benefits

  • The construction of our primary Mains provides double section bobbin fully shrouded

  • Our Chassis has a full varnish impregnation

  • Two hole fixing wrap-over clamps

  • The Transformer has a solder tag termination

  • 100% electrical and flash tested following BS3535 and EN 60742 regulations

  • Optional terminal shrouds (example 503-912)

  • The magnetic field that links both primary and secondary windings

  • Technical product specifications visible on permanent label

  • Applications

Chassis type has a variety of applications where the Mains Transformer is used, particularly in:

  • Electromagnetic applications

  • Electronic and electrical control systems

  • Pumps

  • Speed changers
