Eaton T-Speed Cartridge Fuse, 1.06 x 2.38 in, 40 A - Eaton Series - LPJ-40SP

This time-delay T-speed fuse from Eaton is suitable for equipment that needs short-term power surges to do its job. The equipment will continue to operate and the slow-blow fuse will carry its overload for a short period. Its high breaking capacity means the body of the fuse can withstand short-term surges up to 300 kA at 600 V AC (10 kA at 300 V DC) without breaking. The fuse offers a minimum 10-second time delay in its response to inrush currents and responds quickly to short circuits.

• Dual element fuse construction offers cooler running and less power loss
• Fast response to short circuits, which limits overcurrent
• Unique dimensions of 1.06 x 2.38 inches ensure only the correct type of fuse can be inserted

What applications need a time-delay fuse?

Time-delay fuses are also called slow-blow fuses. They're typically used in the motor industry, as they can handle the high currents that pass through an electrical circuit when an engine is started without blowing.

What is a type-T fuse?

Type T (or T-speed) fuses are extremely fast-acting fuses that can interrupt a minimum of 200,000 amps. They're commonly used for the circuit protection of devices such as inverters.
