The unit has a 30mA trip sensitivity, so when there's a change in the residual current it takes only a few milliseconds to trip. This speedy response provides a high level of protection against harmful electrical faults, which could otherwise cause fires, electric shocks and equipment damage. As the screw terminals are located beyond the reach of your fingers, there's no risk of you touching live parts.
