Looking to make your own test leads, then RS PRO has the perfect addition in the stackable 4 mm banana plug. This nickel plated plug is the ideal solution for making test leads to your specification. Upon inspection, the plug connector offers high-grade PVC plastic insulation with a centre contact made from nickel-plated brass and screw termination method. It accepts test lead cables with a 4 mm diameter and is suitable for any 4 mm insulated or non-insulated socket.

How do you make a banana plug test lead?
Terminating the plug connector is very straight forward, the centre contact has an aperture for the cable wire to be soldered. Once soldered assemble all the plug elements back together now your test lead is ready for use.
