The ebm-papst AC sleeve bearing axial fan is a high-tech cooling solution. The fan has 2550rpm motor speed. It has an extended ball bearing life that ensures fault-free use for a significant period of time (57,500 hours at 40°C). The ebm-papst AC fans provide a flexible and dependable cooling solution for applications that lets you mount it in any axial position. The fan has a power consumption rating of 16.5W and a supply voltage rating of 230VAC.

AC axial fans are used when DC voltage is not available and are designed to create airflow with a high flow rate and medium pressure. Axial fans have an impeller surrounded by blades which works in a similar way to a propeller. The motor of the fan is integrated into the hub of the impeller to provide a compact fan unit. The impeller draws in air axially in a parallel direction to the revolving motor shaft and forces air out in the same direction. The axial fan is surrounded by a flanged housing with mounting holes allowing it to be mounted inside the equipment.
External Rotor Motor
Unlike traditional internal rotor motors where the rotating shaft is surrounded by electromagnetic coils, ebm-papst fans feature an external rotor motor. In an external rotor motor, the magnetic coils are encased inside a rotating shell. The advantage of this design is that external rotor motors are more compact in size, running more efficiently and are less prone to overheating than internal rotor motors

The fan impellers and the inner shape housing of the ebm-papst compact AC axial fans are expertly designed using state-of-the-art computer software. The blades are aerodynamically engineered and dynamically balanced in two planes for optimum performance. The air output and motor performance are precisely matched to the size of the fan which results in low noise, even at high back-pressure.

How Do I Connect the Fan?
These 4000 N series axial fans feature 2 flat 2.8 x 0.5 mm blade terminals. To connect the fan, you need to purchase a cable with a mating receptacle connector (see stock numbers 118-3077, 826-1329, 118-3156 and 118-3099)
