Does this adapter need any additional source of power?
No, this adapter doesn’t need any additional power supply as it only converts the signal from DVI-I connector into VGA. It doesn’t transform Digital signal into analogue or analogue into digital
Is the installation of the adapter complicated?
Installation of the connector is extremely easy, you simply need to connect one of its end with DVI-I port on your graphics card or in your laptop and connect the VGA cable to the other end. There are no drivers or software installation required.
My computer has VGA connector only and a new monitor is fitted with DVI port. Can I use this to connect them together?
This adapter works the other way around. It allows a signal converting from DVI standard to VGA.
