How do auxiliary contacts work?
Auxiliary contacts work in tandem with the primary contacts. When the primary contacts change state, so do the auxiliary contacts. The auxiliary contacts pass the data from the circuit to a logic controller, which tells linked devices when to turn on or off.
Where are auxiliary contacts used?
Auxiliary contacts are commonly found in the start buttons of pushbutton controllers, as well as in relay circuits and electric motors.
