Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Brush uses a blend of 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain, with aluminium oxide and moulded, flexible but firm bristles which give more surface contact than wire brushes. These brushes stay abrasive for their entire lifespan.
Ceramic Abrasive Grain is a ceramic mineral made using a 3M process, to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. Scotch-Brite bristle discs use aluminium oxide blended with ceramic abrasive grain, and the result is one of the hardest, longest-lasting minerals available. Its ideal for heavy stock removal.
Use Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Brush to remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from various metals.

Are flap discs more effective than standard abrasive discs?
While both discs can be used for wood and metal surfaces, flap discs are better suited for use with metal. Abrasive discs are better at removing material from a surface, but for grinding metal surfaces, flap disc presents a more durable and long-lasting solution. They even have some advantages over grinding wheels in that, while they may not remove metal as aggressively, they are slightly safer to use and produce less sparks.
