RS PRO 1.75mm Black PET-G 3D Printer Filament, 1kg
Introducing PETG (or PET-G) 3D printing filament from RS PRO, an adaptable filament that is ideal for use with most common 3D printers. PET-G is an easy to print plastic filament for 3D printing that offers excellent durability with high clarity, temperature resistance and a neutral odour. PET-G also offers high impact strength, excellent flexibility and practically no shrinkage, making it a highly versatile material that combines the advantages of both ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and PLA (polylactic acid) plastics. PETG is also a hydrophobic filament meaning it does not absorb water. In short, PET-G has a wide range of beneficial features and is the perfect addition to any filament assortment. This 3D printer filament is ideal for use with most common FDM (fused deposition modelling) or FFF (fused filament fabrication) technology 3D printers.

FAQs
What are the benefits of PET-G?
PET-G is a highly versatile and cost effective type of plastic material that can be used in a wide range of applications, as well as being fully recyclable. It offers excellent durability, corrosion and chemical resistance and is odour neutral.
What is the difference between PET and PET-G?
Whilst they both offer similar benefits and compositions, PET and PET-G have some very distinct differences. PET-G includes "glycol", allowing the plastic material to remain clear without hazing or crystallising during the heating process, that can often occur when PET is treated. The addition of this chemical compound also ensures that the material can remain flexible yet highly durable. Furthermore PET-G is also suitable for lab use as it can withstand harsh sterilisation processes.
What is the recommended heated bed temperature?
The recommended temperature for heated bed is ± 60-80˚C.
