This 0.4 mm nozzle from RS PRO is for use with 3D printers. The nozzle extrudes printing filament by melting it with heat conducted from the cartridge in your 3D printer.

When a 3D printer is in use, its nozzle is in constant operation. This means you'll need to replace it regularly to keep your machine operating at its best, as a damaged or worn nozzle will affect the quality of the printed object.

This 0.4 mm nozzle is the default size for most 3D printing jobs. It creates layer heights of 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm. If you're planning more intricate work, it's worth having a 0.3 mm unit ready before tackling the most fiddly projects.
