The RS Build Fund provides Formula Student teams worldwide with up to £1,000 in funding to be spent exclusively at RS. Hyperlink Hyperloop Project
This project, led by 70+ students from London universities, is developing the city’s first Hyperloop pod, emphasizing safety, sustainability, and speed. Preparing for European Hyperloop Week 2024, the team is refining their design and tackling manufacturing challenges. This initiative integrates advanced engineering and real-world application, offering students valuable experience and leadership in pioneering Hyperloop technology, marking a significant step toward the future of transportation.
Sheffield Formula Racing
Sheffield Formula Racing had an ambitious year at FSUK 2024, debuting a new car with a full carbon fibre monocoque chassis, making it the lightest in competition. Despite delays and limited testing time, the team excelled in static events, placing 7th in design. Supported by winning the RS Build Fund, which provided crucial funding for components and tools, they’re now preparing to transition to an electric vehicle for 2025, aiming to excel in the evolving world of motorsport.
