    Extractor Filter types

    • Fine Dust Filter
    • Gas Filter
    • H13 (it filters out the remaining solid particles)

    Which Should You Choose?

Fume extractors are essential devices used to remove contaminants from the air in various environments, such as industrial settings, laboratories, and workshops. Each type of filter in a fume extractor serves a different purpose and targets specific types of pollutants. Here's an explanation of the differences between a Fine Dust Filter, a Gas Filter, and an H13 Filter:

    • Fine Dust Filter
    • The purpose of a dust filter is to capture fine particulate matter (PM) from the air. Fine dust particles, including dust, pollen, mould spores, and other small solid particles that can be harmful when inhaled. Typically, effective at capturing particles that are larger than a few micrometres (µm) in size and is commonly used in woodworking shops, construction sites, and other environments where fine particulate dust is generated.

    • Gas Filter
    • Gas filters remove gaseous pollutants from the air such as Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemical fumes, odors, and other harmful gases. They often contains activated carbon or other materials that adsorb gases. This type of filter is frequently used in environments where chemical processes occur, such as laboratories, manufacturing plants, and painting facilities.

    • H13 Filter
    • The H13 filter is a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter that captures extremely small solid particles. This includes fine solid unwanted particles, including dust, pollen, mould, bacteria, and viruses. This filter is capable of capturing 99.95% of particles as small as 0.3 micrometres (µm) in diameter and is used in environments requiring high levels of air purity, such as clean rooms, medical facilities, and electronics manufacturing.

By understanding these differences, you can choose the appropriate fume extractor filter for your specific needs, ensuring you are getting the best air quality and safety in your working environment.
