Norgren Pneumatic Non-Return Valves
Browse our selection of pneumatic non-return valves from Norgren and establish simple and effective single-direction air flow in your compressed air system.
This type of valve is designed to allow air to flow in one direction only, preventing backflow pressure which could otherwise cause damage to the pneumatic system. They are also known as check valves and tend to be small and lightweight, with a simple design. They are an important protective component in air systems.
How do they work?
Non-return valves work automatically and feature a ball or diaphragm, or sometimes are spring assisted. These devices have two openings: an inlet port and an outlet port. When cracking pressure occurs (where the inlet pressure exceeds outlet pressure) the valve will open, allowing air flow.
Norgren's S520 series units are heavy-duty valves which have a reliable design and can handle high operating pressures, ranging from 0.3 to 16 bar. They feature a durable brass body and can be operated in temperatures of -20°C to +80°C, making them suitable for use in demanding industrial environments.
The T50P series Norgren pneumatic valves have an aluminium body, low weight, and low cracking pressure of 0.03 to 0.05 bar. They use seals comprised of silicon-free nitrile, providing resistance to abrasions and fluids such as oil and water, and high tensile strength.
The C00GL Pneufit C models use nickel-plated brass components which offer excellent corrosion resistance, for a longer life. These units are ready-to-use, allowing quick and easy installation with no need for tools.
