How do DVI cables work?
A DVI to DVI cable connects your DVI-equipped computer or other device with a DVI connector, to flat-panel displays, digital CRT displays, HDTV, monitors, and projectors.
What are the different types of DVI cables?
DVI-A are analog cables suitable for carrying an analog signal. They can support VGA signals via adapters but will not support digital signals like HDMIDVI-D are digital and carry a digital signal. In comparison DVI-A is an analog signal, you will not be able to use a DVI-D cable with any DVI-A equipment or vice versa duel to the signals incompatibility.DVI-I are Integrated and can carry either a Digital or Analog signal. DVI-I cables can be used with either DVI-D or DVI-A.
