Clifford & Snell Sounder Beacons
Clifford & Snell celebrates a world-leading position in the development of audible signalling devices. Pioneering early technologies for electronic sounders a century ago, Clifford & Snell's sounder beacons are grounded in engineering experience. They feature durable designs which perform in even the harshest industrial environments. For a reliable signalling device, opt for Clifford & Snell.
What are sounder beacons?
Sounder beacons are signalling devices which have both audio and visual production capabilities. They feature a sounder mechanism which emits a loud alarm to complement a visual alert created with a flashing bulb and coloured lens. Some sounder beacons can be programmed to emit a variety of sound patterns and they come with different lens colours to suit application requirements.
Why are sounder beacons useful?
When compared to beacons or electronic sounders, which only produce one signal modality, sounder beacons are generally more effective. A disadvantage of electronic sounders is that industrial environments are often loud, which can render sounder signalling devices less effective. While beacons do not share this disadvantage, they do not alert personnel that cannot see the beacon. Sounder beacons combine the two technologies to reduce the eventuality of personnel not receiving the warning signal.
