Use this Phoenix Contact galvanic barrier to safely break ground loops and stop unwanted current from flowing between two circuits that mustn't be connected. By isolating the input and output power supplies to devices, the component ensures energy flows through a field and not the electrical connections. The isolation and control of electrical current improve safety and prevent it from grounding through a person's body, which can cause electrical shocks.
The unit's three-way electrical isolation provides optimal protection to establish safe current flows between power supply units and devices. An integrated Ex-i isolating amplifier allows the safe transfer of switching signals, even from explosive atmosphere zones (Ex areas). Thanks to an LED status display, you can monitor supply voltage, switching states and line faults to prevent accidents and equipment downtime. Use this galvanic barrier for industrial and commercial applications such as medical and telecommunications equipment.
