The Vishay MKP1848H series of DC link capacitors are metallized polypropylene (KP) film capacitors. The metallized polypropylene films are used in high frequency or high voltage applications due to their very low dissipation factor and high dielectric strength. These type of capacitors are ideal for outdoor applications or in other harsh environment. Some of the application of these capacitors are in Renewable energies inverters, UPS, Battery drivers, Motor drivers.
