The TE Connectivity crimp tool dies are designed for crimping connectors during installation and electrical work. A good example of crimping is affixing a connector to the end of a cable. Crimp tool dies can be divided according to the form of crimping involved: square, trapezoidal, hexagon, wrapped up or oval. Crimping tools are sized according to the wire gauge they can accept, making the wire gauge a top consideration. Some crimp tool dies are colour coded to help you identify the proper cable size, taps and lugs that the dies are compatible with.
