To ensure the safe operation of your commercial and industrial applications, use this galvanic barrier from Phoenix Contact. It allows for power transfers between circuits that mustn't be connected. To allow energy to flow through a field and not the electrical connections, it breaks ground loops and separates the input and output supplies to a device. This prevents unwanted current from flowing between two units sharing a ground conductor to avoid damage and injury caused by electrical shocks. Use this device to operate proximity sensors and switches in areas where explosive atmospheres are present.
Passive transistor outputs transmit signals to the safe area so that current doesn't ground itself through a user's body. Line fault detection (LFD) via a colour-coded green, yellow and red LED display helps you pinpoint and fix problems in a circuit to promote workplace safety and avoid production downtime. Digital input provides a practical way of isolating and communicating signals.
