The Infineon digital fly back controller IC is a high performance SSR CV controller for the high power factor fly back converter. The device operates in QRMn to maximize the efficiency and minimize the EMI, across a wide load range. It enters ABM at light load to prevent audible noise and at the same time achieving no-load standby power as low as < 100 mW. The digital fly back controller IC detects the input voltage type and adapts its proprietary voltage mode pulse modulator accordingly to enhance the system performance. For AC input, it adapts the pulse modulation to achieve high PF and low THD over wide input and load range. For constant DC input, it adapts the pulse modulation which dithers the switching frequency to lower the EMI over the entire operating range.
