The ROHM SOT89-3K package 3+Tab-pin LDO regulator is a new age device with an output voltage rating of 5V and a current rating of 100mA. As a protective function to
prevent IC from destruction, this chip has built-in overcurrent protection circuit to protect the device when output is shorted and built-in thermal shutdown circuit to protect the IC during thermal overload conditions. This regulator can use a ceramic capacitor, that has a smaller size and longer life than other capacitors. It has applications in digital appliances.
