Honeywell Bi-Metallic Thermostat, NC, Opens at +200°C - 2455RC Series - 2455RC 9082-465 L200

This Honeywell bi-metallic thermostat enables accurate temperature regulation in high-temperature environments. Its SPST (single pole, single throw) snap-action switch is normally closed, but opens to cut the electrical supply when the temperature rises above +200°C. It automatically closes (resets) at +160°C and can withstand a maximum operating temperature of +260°C. The device features soldered tabs, so it's robust and hardwearing. Its durable metal-alloy contacts are rated to 250 V AC, and it has a maximum operating current of 10 A.

Features and Benefits

• Tough ceramic body to withstand high temperature environments
• Factory calibrated for accuracy
• Quick-connect terminals offering easy installation
• High-capacity 10 A rating for use in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems

Applications

• High-powered appliances
• Heating and air-conditioning equipment
• Automotive industry

Why is it useful to have a compact thermostat?

This thermostat's compact design and low profile means it can respond rapidly to temperature changes.

What does dielectric strength measure?

Dielectric strength describes the maximum voltage an insulating material can tolerate before breaking down or failing. This bi-metallic thermostat has a dielectric strength of 2000 V AC, which means it can handle extremely high voltages safely.
