Honeywell Bi-Metallic Thermostat, SPST NC, Opens at +70°C - 2455RA Series -2455R 82-195 L70C
This Honeywell bi-metallic thermostat gives exact temperature regulation in 240 V AC supplied circuits. A SPST (single pole, single throw) snap-action switch is normally closed and will open when the temperature rises to +90°C. It automatically resets (closes) at 15°C below the nominated operating temperature (+75°C). Thanks to its dielectric strength of 2000 V AC, this device can be used in a wide range of high-voltage applications without breaking down or failing.
Features and Benefits
• Resilient phenolic resin body with stainless-steel end cap assures a long lifetime
• 15 A-rated contacts can withstand high-current applications
• Quick connecting terminal type for ease of installation
• Wide operating temperature range of 0°C to +150°C for use in demanding industrial conditions

How does this bi-metallic thermostat work?
It's operated by a disc made of two metals fused together. These metals react differently to changes in temperature, which causes the disc to bend flex, opening or closing the contacts accordingly and operating the switch.
