Honeywell Bi-Metallic Thermostat, SPST NC, Opens at +80°C - 2455RA Series -2455R 82-716 L90C

Choose this snap-action Honeywell bi-metallic thermostat for precision temperature regulation in 250 V AC-supplied circuits. This SPST (single pole, single throw) switch is normally closed until the temperature rises to +90°C. It automatically resets at 15°C below the nominated operating temperature. Dielectric strength of 2000 V AC means the unit can withstand high voltages without breaking down or failing. This makes it a durable component capable of providing exact control.

Features and Benefits

• Stainless-steel end cap for longevity
• Contact rating of 10 to 15 A can tolerate high current situations
• Quick connecting terminal type for ease of installation
• Broad operating temperature range of 0°C to +150°C for versatile application

Applications

• Automotive industry
• Large domestic appliances
• Heat and smoke detection

What material is this switch made from?

The body of the switch is made from phenolic plastic – a composite resin containing phenol and aldehyde. As well as offering reliable electrical insulation, for safe use, this material is rigid and durable, meaning the switch will offer long service life.
