The Microchip Digital temperature sensor designed for high-accuracy thermal monitoring in embedded and automotive systems. It converts ambient temperature into a digital signal using a Sigma-Delta ADC with user-selectable resolution. Communication is handled via a two-wire I²C/SMBus interface, and the device includes programmable alert outputs that can function as either a thermostat comparator or an interrupt. Its compact form factor and ability to support multiple devices on a shared bus make it ideal for multizone temperature sensing applications.
