Traco Power Switching Power Supply, Enclosed Package Type, Chassis Mounting - TXL Series - TXL 060-24S

Electrical conversion is a done deal with this switching power supply from Traco Power. It takes an input anywhere in a universal range from 88 to 264V AC and transforms it into a smooth and steady 24V DC output. The workings are housed in a low-profile metal case that measures just 99 (L) x 82 (W) x 35mm (D), so it mounts easily onto a chassis to help you build a compact system. Screw terminals make wiring quick and connections secure.

Features & Benefits

• Incorporated switching regulator achieves a typical efficiency of 84%, minimising waste

• Short-circuit and overvoltage protection keeps you and your equipment safe

• Wide operating temperature range between -20°C and +70°C means it won't be fazed by harsh conditions

Applications

• CCTV cameras

• Machine tools

• Telecommunications networks

• Medical test devices

Why would I need to convert AC to DC?

The UK supply is AC, while most industrial and control systems use a 24V DC supply. You need a power converter to hook devices such as sensors, instruments and controllers up to the mains.
