Lithium Iron Phosphate (LifePO4) has now established itself as the reliable, long lasting and safe lithium chemistry. With a high tolerance to temperature extremes, 90% + depth of discharge capability and 5 times the expected cycle life of a sealed lead acid battery.
Lifos 12 offers the user a significant number of benefits:
• At 90% DOD (ie 12AH x 90% = 10.8Ah useable), the Lifos 12 can be compared with an SLA battery or 20Ah gross (20ah x 50% DOD = 10Ah useable).
• Longer life – Lifos 12 gives 2000 cycles at 90% DOD vs SLA battery – 400 cycles at 50% DOD
• The Lifos 12 is 40% smaller than a 20Ah SLA
• The Lifos 12 is 75% lighter (1.5kgs vs 5.78kgs for 20Ah SLA)
• Its internal battery management system (BMS) enables Lifos 12 to be a straight swap for a conventional battery – no special charger needed
• The Lifos 12 does not suffer from voltage loss as it discharges, thus giving maximum power for longer
• It will be charged approx. 20% faster than a 20Ah SLA battery
