Phoenix Contact Opto-Couplers with Solid State Relay Output

These DIN rail mount opto-couplers from Phoenix Contact provide an ideal means of interfacing on/off signals to, or from, equipment, whilst providing electrical isolation between their own inputs and outputs. In other words, these may be used to protect equipment by electrically isolating its inputs, outputs, or both. The dc/ac and ac/dc versions also provide a means of interfacing (whilst isolating) ac and dc control voltages.

Features and Benefits

• Dc in/Dc out, Dc in/Ac out and Ac in/Dc out versions available
• Versions with switching speeds up to 100kHz available
• 2.5kVac input to output isolation
• LED status indication
• Module width 6.2mm
• Operating temperature range: -20 to +60°C

Standards

IEC 60 664, IEC 60 664A, DIN VDE 0110

Phoenix Contact Optocoupler, 11mA - DEK-OE-12DC/48DC/100 Series - 2964487

This optocoupler from Phoenix Contact transmits an electrical signal between two isolated circuits. For ease of use, an LED (light-emitting diode) gives off an infrared light that activates a photosensitive device to illuminate a yellow LED, providing a clear visual indicator of the optocoupler's status.
Its compact card construction fits easily into modular terminal blocks, even when space in your set-up is limited. It has M3 screw threads, so you can screw it securely in place for a reliable connection. The output circuit is protected against reverse polarity to prevent electric shock hazards, and the circuit also contains a damper diode to reduce spikes in voltage that could cause short circuits.
You can use this optocoupler to prevent electrical interference in your programmable logic controller (PLC). A fast response time of 20μs (microseconds) means it provides quick and efficient results.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C for use in harsh environments
• Maximum current of 11mA and maximum voltage of 12V for use with sensitive, low-voltage components
• Wear-free switching with no mechanical parts for long-lasting use
